The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a pretty okay week. I got a lot of work done, but it wasn’t as busy as last week. There were a few meh days, but also some good ones.
I got my second Covid-19 shot yesterday. I am glad to have my second shot now, although I still plan on staying home as much as possible and masking up when I go to places with lots of people. We still have a lot of corona cases and a lot is now the new delta variant.
It was another busy work week, although not as full as last week. I managed to catch up on some things I didn’t get done last week. I had three tours that started this week and I did a good amount of assistant work as well and finished up my July assistant work.
I also fixed something blog related. I found a handy plugin that could replace images and swapped out some old images for my posts to the my current alpaca images and my current rating images. It’s been nice to have gotten that done. I never got around to it as I thought it would be too much effort, but this way with the plugin it didn’t take as long.
What did I read this week?
This was not the best reading week. One DNf and a 3 star. Earthrise I DNF’d, I didn’t like the female main character and how she acted and that made it difficult to enjoy the book. A Spell for Trouble had an awesome concept, but the mystery fell a bit flat for me and I didn’t really like the main character.
My current reads
My current reads are great so far luckily. I am still enjoying my re-read of Broken Flyght, this time in audio. I am having so much fun re-reading this series. The Gangster is a great one so far. I read the first book earlier this year and this one is a solid sequel so far, although not as good as book 1 so far. I am making good progress on Salted Caramel Sorcery and it’s a fun one so far. There are some little parts that bother me about this book, but overall it’s a fun light hearted mystery with a paranormal element.

Book Haul:
I got three books for review that I am really excited about :). I was so excited to got approved for What We May Be thanks to Gay Romance Reviews. This book sounds so good and that cover looks awesome too. Counted Corpse and Rogue Ghosts & Other Miscreants are both the next book in series I am reading for which I am on the authors ARC list, I really like both of those series and cna’t wait to read these.
It does feel so reassuring to have that second shot, doesn’t it? I hope you have a better reading week ❤️ Happy reading!
It sure does :). Although I did have some side effects from this shot unfortunately, but hopefully I feel better soon.
Glad the week went well and you got some steady work done and the plug in worked like a charm. Too bad about the meh books, but glad the current reads are going great.
Have a good week, Lola!
I am glad I found this plugin to swap out some of those older graphics, it’s one of those things I never make time to do and this saved so much time. I am glad my current reads are good ones 🙂
I’m glad you were able to get the second shot. I got the Johnson & Johnson shot so I was one and done. I’m just not tech savvy so I’m glad I don’t have to try and find plugins or work on code like some bloggers so. Blogger is really easy to make posts with.

That’s handy you got only one shot. A lot of the things I learned while using the blog, I hardly knew anything when I got started. It sure is a learning curve. WordPress.com or blogger definitely are easier.
I’m so happy you are all vaccinated. It’s great you got some reads you are excited to read. I am always thrilled to get things and want to read them all right away but that’s not possible.

I am happy to be vaccinated :). It sure is hard to pick which one to read first when I am so excited for all of these books.
Congrats on the second vaccine! It’s such a weight off the shoulders, isn’t it? Thankfully masking up is still a requirement in Scotland regardless of vaccine status and I hope it stays that way for a while. Well done on the blog fix too. I can imagine that saved so much time!

It really is reassuring to have the second vaccine now. I wish masking up was still a requirement here, but sadly it isn’t, most people don’t wear a mask anymore.
I was so glad to have found that plugin for this as that saved me so much time!
Yay for the second shot! And I read a Jessie Mihalik book but it’s been a while- I never did finish that series!
I really enjoy Jessie Mihalik’s books. This Rogue Queen series was awesome, I still have to finish her other series.
I got my second shot yesterday too, so far all I’ve only had in the way of side effects are a sore arm, which is much preferable to getting Delta.
Wishing you a great reading week

I unfortunately had a bunch of side effects this time, but I am still happy to have gotten the vaccine. I am glad to hear you got your second shot too.
Hooray for getting your second dose! I was able to get mine fairly early (back in March/April) but I still stay at home as much as possible and always wear a mask when I’m out. It just seems like the smart thing to do. Too bad about the DNF and the 3-star read. I hope this week is a much better reading week!

I am glad I got my second dose :). That’s great you got yours so early.
My current reads are good ones so far, so I hope this week is a better one for reading.
Sorry to hear about the reading duds. I definitely have to love the main character to keep reading a book. And I’m so glad to hear you got your second shot! Yay! That’s great news!

It really is hard to enjoy a book if I don’t care about the main character. I either have to like them or at least find them interesting. It was such a shame as had high hopes for both of those reads.
I am so happy I got my second shot :).
