The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
After last week with my tooth breaking, I am glad that this was a pretty normal week. I got a lot of work done as well as some other things that needed to be done. Unfortunately I got some bad shoulder pain later in the week that put a damper on things. I’ve been doing well with my shoulder lately, but I overdid it with something and now it’s hurting again for days. It’s so difficult to keep being careful with it and build up my strength slowly.
We’re having some warmer weather this week which has been nice, everything looks so green and vibrant outside. We had some rain as well which makes everything look even greener.
This was a great week for work. I got two new sign up posts live and I did a good amount of assistant work done as well. I have a new tour open for a non-fiction book as well as a review opportunity for a horror short story collection. I also published my newest blog post for authors on my site.
Food Corner
I baked some cookies this week. These were pecan and chocolate chip cookies and they are some of my favorite cookies
What did I read this week?
White Queen Fiend was a great read. I really enjoyed seeing how everything developed in this book and the white queens harem is forming in this one.
This week I blogged about:
– Review: The Engineer by C.S. Poe
– Lola’s Kitchen: Fried Rice with Tofu Recipe

Book Haul:
I am so excited to have gotten The Queen’s Triumph from Tantor for review. I actually already bought the ebook as I thought it wouldn’t be in audio, but I couldn’t bring myself to read it yet as I listened to the first two books and it just would feel weird to read book 3. So I am really happy book 3 is in audio as well now!
Sorry to hear about your tooth and shoulder pain, I think I am coming down with an ear infection and trying to keep myself as rested as I can.
Hope you have a great week, Lola! Happy Reading!
Sorry to hear about your possible ear infection, I hope you can stay rested.
Never fun when the body aches like that, but yay for some lovely spring weather and a big pile of work getting done. Your article about marketing mixed genres looks good. Fun that you got the third book in the series in audio like the rest. I have certain series that I love either way, but definitely prefer the audio version.
Have a great week, Lola!

Thanks! I enjoyed writing that marketing article and I hope it helps some authors. It just felt weird to read the third book in ebook after listening to the first two, so I am glad I got the audio as well now.
I’m sorry that you’re having shoulder pain. I have bursitis so I get shoulder pain sometimes too. Those cookies look so good.

Sorry to hear you deal with shoulder pain as well :(.
I really enjoyed Queen’s Triumph so I hope you do too! I also had some shoulder pain this last week but because I slept on it wrong. Sigh. I feel ya.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed Queen’s triumph, the first two books were great so I hope I’ll enjoy this one too. I also have to be careful how I sleep in my shoulder as that can also cause pain. Sorry to hear you were dealing with shoulder pain as well this week :(.
I’m sorry about the pain issues. I hope they are doing better. I know I’ve been a bit MIA, but I’m trying to get back into visiting again. I’ve really missed it. Have a great week. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! It is hard to keep up with the visiting sometimes, I struggle with that as well.
A broken tooth?! Ow ow ow ow ow… and I’m sorry your shoulder is hurting, too. Over the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve been through two frozen shoulders with the accompanying pain, so I really empathize.
Your cookies look delicious! And yay for spring weather, and getting the audiobook review copy you wanted.
Have a lovely week!

The broken tooth got fixed again, but I have to return soon to the dentist for a more permanent fix. Ouch that sounds painful those frozen shoulders.
The cookies were great and it’s nice to have some spring weather as now it feels like autumn again.
