The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was not my week. It was a tiring week with things not going smoothly, not really anything big that went wrong but just not sleeping as well and multiple small things popping up. I did get a good amount of work done, on some days more than on others. Three tours I organized started this week as well as two new book blitz sign-up posts that went live.
Luckily there were also some great parts about this week. I finished two great books this week. I won a giveaway this week and immediately bought two books with it. I had lunch with my mom this week, which was fun. I’ve also been baking a bit again. I made a banana bread last weekend and a cake with “stroopwafel” cookies this week. Both turned out great. I also made some caramel sauce for the first time for on top of the cake and it turned out great too, although it was a bit of a weird experience making it. And I’ve been finding even more recipes for future weeks to try out.
It’s been getting a bit colder suddenly this week, it feels like fall is here already. The weather got a lot cooler and we got a lot of rain this week. It’s kinda nice and I am looking forward to the cooler weather for now, until it gets too cold.
What did I read this week?
Both of these were solid 4 stars read. Taming Demon for Beginners is the exciting first book in this spin-off series, it was a greta read that kept my attention. I liked main character Robin and the demon as so interesting and well written, very not-human.

Book Haul:
Cabin Boy sounded great and I’ve been hoping to find a gay harem book that sounded good for a while, so when I heard of this one I knew I had to buy it. Dear Writer, You Need to Quit was a non-fiction book that sounded informative and it was discounted. City Girl vs Country Boy I got for review from the author, I’ve enjoyed her books so far and I am excited about this new series.
Sometimes those little irritants can add up and threaten to ruin everything. Glad you had a lot of good events like baking success and your mom’s visit, too.
Looks like you got an nice haul and congrats on the giveaway win. I’ll look forward to your thoughts on you new books.
Enjoy your week, Lola!

It’s annoying when those little things add up. Luckily there were some good parts too.
I was happy with the giveaway win and buying some new books.
I haven’t been sleeping well either. Congrats on the win and the new books.

I am still not sleeping well. I hope that improves soon as it’s really putting a damper on my mood.
That cake sounds delicious and you must share a recipe! haha Have a great week 🙂

Not sure how easy you can get stroopwafel cookies there in the US though, but I might share it eventually on the blog :). Just need to find some time to type out all these recipes.
Great books are just what the doctor ordered for those weird weeks. I wouldn’t mind some of your cooler weather. It’s blistering hot here!

I am glad it’s cooling down a bit, although we had some warmer weather again this week, but still with that bit of bite in the air.
So not everything was bad then? And my daughter slept poorly last night so she ended up scrolling vegetarian recipes 😉
Scrolling vegetarian recipes sounds like a good way to pass the time when you can’t sleep.
I was so excited and surprised to get an email about an ARC for Taming Demons For Beginners on Sat! I thought I’d missed out this round because it was a week into the ARC cycle and I hadn’t heard anything but I got one! I’ve already read it. I loved it. The dynamic between Robin and her demon is awesome. 🙂
Hope you have a good week!

That’s awesome you got an ARC of Taming Demons for Beginners too! I also really enjoyed and the dynamic between Robin and her demon was so fun to read about.
Taming Demons For Beginners sounds awesome!
Hope you have a better week!

I am glad the week had some bright points at least. And winning a giveaway always makes me happy :).
Sorry to hear you’ve had a not-so-great week, and certainly it doesn’t help when the weather is a bummer. Hopefully this week will be better. Sending lots of virtual hugs!

Thanks! This week wasn’t much better, but hopefully the next one is.
I didn’t sleep well this past week either. And this week is no better so far! There’s a full moon coming up on Friday that I’m not looking forward to. It’s already powerful in the sky at night. Thanks for posting about First Flyght and then again about the whole series! That was a nice surprise this morning! <3

This week was not much better for me either when it came to sleep :(. I hope next week is better. I really love your new Flyght series and am looking forward to more books!
