The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
Again a bit of a mixed week with some meh moments and some good moments too. I had a few off days again this week sadly. I did get lost of work done this week, so it was a pretty productive week, which was nice. I did a good amount of hours of assistant work, sent out the media kits for the tour that starts next week and put a new sign-up post live for a tour that start next month. Two more events got booked that I’ll be working on soon.
I had planned to visit my mom this week, but something came up so we had to move it to a later date. Besides that I finished two books and an audiobook this week and am almost done with my current puzzle too. I also managed to write and schedule a new recipe for on the blog. I also baked cookies again last weekend, this time my cinnamon and lemon cookies (I just made them without topping and with some baking powder in the dough so they look more like standard cookies), they were yummy.
The weather is getting a bit warmer suddenly and we had some nice sunny days and even had the window open for a bit.
We’re currently watching the second season of The Orville which is great so far. Before this we watched The Gifted, which was okay, it has some great moments, but also some moment were it drags a bit or gets repetitive.
What did I read this week?
The Impact Zone was a great sequel and I am excited for the next book when we get Skylar’s story. The High Ground was a great audiobook, the story was interesting with lots of focus on social and cultures complications and rules with different classes and the aliens who were even less that the lowest humans. The narration was done really well too. Betrayal was another great read in this series with another adventure Lily and her friends embark on.

Book Haul:
Besides the one listed I also got Wolf Claimed by Kellie McAllen for review. I wasn’t able to find it on Goodreads yet tough. I enjoyed books by this author before and am excited about this new series. Dynami’s Wrath and The Fairer Hex I got for review. I am currently reading Dynami’s Wrath, I really enjoy this series so far. The Fairer Hex is a new Reverse harem fantasy series by an author whose previous series I really enjoyed and I can’t wait to start this one. Four Shifters and a Stranger I got from the author as I got book 3 for review too, I think it’s normally in the back of book 3. I am curious about this novella story and what it will add to this fun urban fantasy series.
Sorry to hear you had a semi-meh week. It looks like you still got a lot done with your work, baking, and finishing up some books. I’m jealous you were able to get the windows open once this week to freshen the air inside. Maybe in a few weeks we’ll get a nice day or two for that.
We have been watching Murdoch Mysteries lately.
That is great to see your latest books in print and audio were all good ones for you. I just read the prequel for the Lydia Sherrer series this week. Finally, lol.
Looking forward to your lemon-cinnamon cookies.
Have a great week, Lola!

I am glad it was a productive week even with the semi-meh stuff. It was really nice to have the windows open for a bit. It’s been pretty warm weather here suddenly, during the days it feels like spring already.
I saw your review on Goodreads for the prequel, I am glad you picked it up and enjoyed it, I hope you like the rest of the series too. I am almost finished with another audio already 🙂
I am going to read Pirates of Felicity series next since for one of my challenges I need to pick a series with 5 books and that one is perfect.
We had the windows open the last few days even though today is 34, I still have them open to air out the house. It cold fresh air feels and smells amazing!
I hope you have the best week ever, Lola! Happy Reading! xx

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the Pirates of Felicity series :). Book 5 will be out mid April I think.
It is nice to air out the house a bit now that it’s warming up a bit.
I had the windows open too but had to close them and turn on the AC because it is so humid here. Not complaining one bit as everything is green and spring is in the air! I hope this week is a better one for you, Lola:)

I am happy that spring is on it’s way here :). It’s nice to have the windows open. I
I don’t know why Lola but the cover of Annette Marie really does “it” for me! Now on another note cajun pasta seems delicious!!! Have a great Sunday
The whole series has great covers in my opinion. The cajun pasta is really good.
I think I would like cinnamon or lemon cookies. Cinnamon lemon cookies sound good too. I made a lemon pound cake with lemon icing yesterday. I wanted a piece of lemon cake for my birthday. lol My husband thought it was good.

It’s a surprisingly good combination of flavors actually, the first time I tried them I was a bit hesitant, but they turned out great. Lemon cake sounds good!
I like the covers on your book haul. Enjoy!
Thanks! I hope they’re all good ones.
It does sound like a productive week between puzzles and books and work and baking! And yay another Hocus Pocus book! I remember you reviewing and talking about the others in the past, and they always sound fun.

A busy week for you!! My husband I are currently watching Russian Doll on Netflix and we’ve been enjoying it. We recently finished all of The Good Place and enjoyed that one too.

I’ll have to look that one up, haven’t heard of those series.
Well I hope this week is better. My daughter’s having migraines so it has disrupted our schedule a bit. I didn’t get to the YMCA last week and I feel stiff and out of sorts. At least I have my reading to enjoy.

Sorry to hear about your daughter’s migraines and your disrupted schedule.
I hope you have an amazing week this week, and that you can visit with your mom soon. Making cookies sounds great. I do love cookies. 😉 I’m currently watching a variety of shows, but Miracle Workers just premiered last week so that’s the newest.
