The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Itβs a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a pretty decent week with some ups and downs. I did the usual assistant work this week and sent out a media kit for a tour next week. I am glad it was slightly quieter with work this week so I could prep for my 5 year anniversary for Lola’s Blog Tours last minute and get everything ready. I also had my third 5 star read of the year and got quite a bit of reading done this week. And it’s my 300th Sunday Post, how awesome is that?
On Thursday evening I was hit with a painful bout of stomach pain. I still have no idea what caused it, whether I ate something wrong or caught a virus, but it hurt pretty badly. Then after a night of not so good sleep it actually felt a lot better and I am almost back to normal now, so that’s good. So that was the not so fun part of my week. At least I got some extra reading done on Thursday evening as I was in too much pain to do anything else.
I’ve been busy this week working on my 5th anniversary celebration for Lola’s Blog Tours. I hadn’t gotten around to it earlier like I usually do, so now only had a few days to get everything ready, but I managed to get everything done in time for Thursday. It was fun to look back and realize I am exactly where I want to be with my business. Which is the best feeling ever. With my tour work and assistant work combined I make enough money to make a living and have a good routine for my days with work and still time for other things as well. To celebrate my 5 year anniversary I am running a giveaway for 2 books of the Bookdepository up to $10, winner’s choice. I’ll up it to 3 winners if we reach 500 entries. So if you want to, you can enter the giveaway here. Good luck!
What did I read this week?
Immortal Plunder was great, if you like pirates, fantasy and an adventure, I would definitely recommend this one. Building Forever got one of those rare 5 star ratings from me. I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down at all. The characters were some awesome and realistic and their romance was amazing.I enjoyed every moment spent with these characters and seeing them find their way together. Three Mages and a Margarita was a fun urban fantasy read with a sassy main character who is human and stumbles upon the hidden world of magic.
What did I cook for dinner this week?
- Spinach Pasta
- Mashed Potatoes with sauerkraut and lentils
- Veggies with soy sauce and rice

Goodness, I hope you are feeling even better now. My mind goes to appendicitis-I guess since my sister had that.
My dream job? I always wanted to be a movie reviewer, but now I get to review books and that’s even better!
Three Mages and a Margarita sounds good to me. Might have to try that one maybe. Hope you have another quiet week.
I briefly thought of appendicitis too as I vaguely remember I got diagnosed once for that as a kid and then it went away again and I never had surgery for it. So who knows? I haven’t had the pain return since last week luckily.
Being a book reviewer sure is awesome, although I am not sure if I ever would want to get paid for it as I am afraid that if it’s a job it would take part of the fun out of it.
Three Mages and a Margarita was a great read π
Happy 5 years! Congrats! I will share the giveaway for you.
I am a bit jealous of you having read Immortal Plunder, I have been waiting for that one to come out! π I am glad you enjoyed it. I am hoping to grab it when it comes out this week.
Sorry about your stomach, maybe it was just a quick virus. I had one of those this week too but my sinus has been driving me crazy too. Can’t wait for the weather to change.
Have a great week, Lola! Happy Reading! π

Thanks for sharing the giveaway :). It’s awesome to reach that 5 years milestone!
I was lucky to receive an advance copy of Immortal Plunder, it’s really good. I hope you’ll enjoy it too if you get it!
Yeah maybe it was just a quick virus or something. It took me a few days to feel fully back to normal, but I haven’t had pain since, so it seems gone now.
Glad that stomach complaint didn’t stick around longer than a day. I’ve had food poisoning several times and it is definitely not pretty.
Yay for getting your business where you want it right now and going strong five years later.
I’ll have to check out your five star read. Even the cover draws me in. Enjoy your three new series books.
Oh, and my dream job was to be a Marine Biologist.
Have a great week, Lola!
The evening was the worst and after that it went a lot better already. Not sure if it was food poisoning or not, but I threw some foods I ate that day away just in case.
It really is amazing to have reached that 5 years and have my business going strong π
The cover is great too indeed. It really was a great read.
That’s interesting your dream job was to be a marine biologist.
Stomach pain is never fun. Glad to hear you’re feeling better. 5 years is a great accomplishment. So Congrats!

Hmm, sometimes it can be female issues that cause stomach pains. Hopefully whatever it was is gone now! Congrats on your 300th Sunday Post and Five Year Tour Anniversary.

I always like it when I reach a full number for my Sunday Posts and it’s hard to believe I’ve been doing these posts for 300 weeks in a row. I still have no idea where the stomach came from, I am just glad it went away again.
Yes I am really happy to be in such a good place with my business and I hope I can keep it this way π
I’m glad you’re feeling better. Stomach pain is miserable. I had a stomach bug this weekend and I’m still recovering; I even had to change my flight home from today to tomorrow.
Congratulations on 5 years of blogging and doing blog tours!
I am still not sure what caused my stomach pain, but I am glad it’s over. Sorry to hear you had a stomach bug this weekend. I hope you’re feeling better.
The 5 years is for my tour company. My blog is a bit older.
Glad the stomach pain has abated – it sounds really unpleasant so I hope it stays away. And huge congratulations on your 300th Sunday Post and your 5th year anniversary – both are impressive achievements, Lola!
