The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was another busy, but good week. I got a lot of work done. I put three new sign-up posts live (a cover reveal and two blitzes), a cover reveal took place and a blog tour started and I sent out two media kits for two tours starting next week. And I e-mailed with some authors about future tours, so I have work for next week lined up already as well yay! I got some hours of assistant work done. It was a pretty productive week.
I also managed to finish two books. Lats week I got no new books and it always seems that the week after that I get lots of them then as that’s what happened this week. Lots of books I was waiting for released and saw a discount for the last book in a series I started, so I snatched it up.
Sorry I haven’t been visiting your blogs as often. I do try to reply and comment back where possible, but it’s hard to make time for it lately. So I mostly stick with at least replying to your comments and visit back when I can.
What did I read this week?
Masking for Trouble was fun as it was a cozy mystery set around Halloween. I liked the costumes, the shop and the Halloween theme, but I didn’t like the mystery and the romance. So I ended up giving it a 3 star. fantasy of Freedom was a great ending to this series and I was in a fantasy mood, so that was good timing. It’s such a great series and I hope to read the novella she wrote after this book soon as well.
What did I cook for dinner this week?

- Monday: Peanut Pasta
- Tuesday: Peanut Pasta

- Thursday: Fried Rice
- Friday: soup with bread
- Saturday: Lukewarm Couscous Salad

Book Haul:
Most of these I bought, only Saving Brad was for review. A Brit Complicated, Dragon’s Gift and Running Out of Space were all $0.99. A brit Complicated was the third book in a series I really enjoyed so far, so I was eager to snatch that up. Dragon’s Gift sounded good as I am currently in a fantasy mood. Saving Brad is the fifth book in a series I already started. I was waiting for Running Out of Space to be released as it’s written by one of my blogger friend who is now an author as well and it sounds like it will be a good book. Cosmic cabaret is a sci-fi anthology, I already knew two of the authors int he set and would’ve bought it for those only, but I also like the chance to discover new to em authors.
Freebies I grabbed:
You can stop by my facebook post here to see some freebies and cheap/ discounted book I found last week. Here’s the Facebook post for next week.
Sorry to hear the mystery and the romance in Masking for Trouble weren’t to your liking, that’s always a bit disappointing 🙁
And it sounds like you had a busy week! I hope you enjoy your new reads, it’s always great to find one you want on sale!

Luckily the Halloween timing and the shop were great to read about even though the mystery and romance were a bit disappointing.
Yes it’s always great to find a book you want on sale :).
Once again, thank you so much for your kind support both while organising the tour and throughout – and I’m blown away that you also bought the book! It sounds like a reasonably busy week again. I love the look of A Brit Complicated and Deluge:). Starting to feel a bit better, but this illness is really unpleasant and has really knocked the stuffing out of me! Hopefully this week will see it beaten, in the meantime I hope your week is full of angel hair and unicorns – you deserve it:))
I am so grateful you booked a blog tour with my company. I am quite curious about your book! Now to find the time to actually read it.
Both of those are series I already started so I am looking forward to reading them.
Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better. I hope you feel fully back to normal this week.
Glad the tour company is doing well Lola. The cover for Masking for Trouble is so cute, I am bummed it wasn’t what you wanted. Hope the week ahead is filled with goodness and bookish goodies.

Thanks Kimba, I am really glad my tour company is doing well:). It was a fun read, but I am a bit sad the mystery and romance wasn’t as good as I hoped.
Glad to hear you are able to keep so busy, that’s always good.

Thanks Angela! I am glad business is going so well lately 🙂
Hope your reading choices this week are great!
Thanks!
Aw sorry to hear the Halloween cozy was a little disappointing. I’ve totally fallen down on cozies this year, after reading several good ones last year .Maybe I can squeak some in at some point. 🙂 It does seem like a good timer of year to read them. Or mysteries in general.
Glad you had a good week with the blog tours. And have a great week with the new reads!

It was still a fun read, but it was a shame the mystery and romance didn’t quite work for me. I read some good cozies this year although I stuck a lot with authors or series I already knew. I hope you can fit in some cozies still this year. This time of the ear is good for mysteries indeed.
Glad to hear you’re getting lots of work stuff lately 🙂 And great book haul this week!

Yes I love those $0.99 deals, it’s always fun when you can get a book for such a good price :).
You did manage to get a lot of books in your weekly haul this week! I’m excited to hear about a few of them, but I won’t call them out individually here. 🙂 Hope you had a great week! I’m getting caught up on blog reading, and I’ll check out the rest of your posts here in a bit.

It was a good haul this week, some nice bargains and some books I was waiting for to release :). I already finished Saving Brad and I hope to read some stories in Cosmic Cabaret soon, I am really curious about Athena Grayson’s story.
