The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a busy and fun week! It was my birthday this week! I didn’t really do anything special on the day itself, just normal stuff and work actually. but the whole week was filled with fun things and gifts. My sister came to visit on Monday and bought me a cake and a birthday present. Then as the week progressed I got some more gifts from friends and family. My boyfriend got me a jigsaw puzzle that I already started puzzling I haven’t puzzled in a while, but suddenly the urge to puzzle struck me. Anyone else that likes doing jigsaw puzzles?
Next week I’ll see my mom. And I am thinking on which books to spend the money I got. Oh and I won a giveaway for bookmarks from one of my favorite authors on Facebook, so that was pretty exciting. I hope they arrive soon :).
I started a spreadsheet to keep track of which book I have for review. So far it only has the books on it that I got this year, but I hope gradually to add the rest too so everything is on there and I can see if I like this way of keeping track of things.
It also was a crazy busy week for Lola’s Blog Tours and I couldn’t be happier about that. As the last few months have been a bit quiet I am so glad to see things get busier again. A lot of tours got booked this week and I am working hard to get all the media kits made and the sign-up posts live.
Picture of the Week
Sorry no picture this week.
What did I read this week?
The Irish Getaway was a fun read, it’s an optional extra short novel in this series and it was nice to get a glimpse of some of the upcoming main characters. Danger in the Stars was a great sci-fi romance read and I enjoyed the characters in this one. Dial Meow for Murder was really good! I had a lot of fun reading that one and I am already looking forward to the next book.

I love doing jigsaw puzzles. I also love to cross stitch which feels very similar at times.

They are a lot of fun to do :). I haven’t tried cross stitching, but good to know it feels similar to puzzling at times!
Of course I like jigsaw puzzles! Don’t do them often, cause who has the time 😀 but I’ve always enjoyed doing them when I did pick them up. The more pieces the better 😀
I also have a spreadsheet for books! It can get REALLY out of hand otherwise.
A belated happy birthday to you, and have a great reading week 🙂

It sure its hard to find the time to do everything you want to. I don’t puzzle as much as I would like, but it’s been fun to spend some time puzzling now :). I usually stick to the 1000 pieces ones.
Neat that you got to spread out your birthday to several days of visits and presents. 🙂 And also great that the tours have gotten busy for you again. Looks like you kept busy with the new puzzle and several books. I enjoy puzzles, too.
Enjoy spending your birthday book money. 🙂

It was fun to have my birthday celebrations spread out over multiple days. And I am glad work has picked up again :).
I already finished one puzzle and now started the second.
Happy Birthday!
I need to check out your recipes. I’ve tried with tofu and each of my experiments has been a full blown tofu-mageddon (tasteless blah on the other side…there must be a better way lol).
The first few times I tried tofu it didn’t really work out either, but I found that if you either bake it till it’s crunchy and/ or combine it with a good sauce it’s really good.
Glad to hear you had a good birthday.

Thanks 🙂
oh Happy Birthday…it looks like you have had a wonderful week here. And keeping busy with all those tours!! You go girl.
Thanks! It was a fun birthday and I am happy work picked up again :).
Glad you had a good birthday! Sounds like a fun week. I haven’t done a jigsaw puzzle in ages but I bet there are some cool ones out there, especially with all the genre stuff we have now. Yay for blog tour business picking up!
I’m trying to be more organized with my reviews too. It’s a work in progress… 🙂
Dial Meow for Murder looks fun.

It was a fun week :). I already finished one jigsaw puzzle and now started on the other one. They are fun to do, I hadn’t done one in a long time, so its nice to pick it up now again.
I agree. I now try and keep up with the newer review copies and hopefully add the older copies to the spreadsheet as well eventually.
If you’re looking for a great cozie series I would definitely recommend that one :).
Happy birthday Lola!! It sounds like a fun week and I did a puzzle this week which I haven’t done in a long time too. They are fun to do. I keep my ARCs on a spreadsheet to track with their release dates. It’s worked for me so far. I hope you have a great week!

Thanks! Puzzles really are fun to do, I am glad I made time to do one this week.
I like the spreadsheet for my review copies so far, I just have to make sure to add the older books to the spreadsheet as well.
Happy Birthday to you!!! Love puzzles. My mom was here for a few weeks and we put together three large ones. I’ve kept a spreadsheet of the books I’ve read for years and do need to consult it from time to time. Have a great week.
Thanks! That’s neat you made some puzzles with your mom :).
I’m delighted your birthday week was enjoyable and the celebrations were spread out over several days – I always think that’s the best kind:)). No… I’m not a jigsaw person but my gran used to be and I recall her spending many evenings poring over the 1,500 piece monsters she enjoyed working on. There’s a little cafe I enjoy visiting where they have completed jigsaws framed and put on the walls which looks very cool. Have a great week, Lola:)

Thanks! It was fun to have the celebrations spread out like this :). I usually stick to 1000 pieces puzzles. That’s neat you sometimes visit a cafe where they hang finished puzzles.
When the kids were teens we always had a puzzle going and would all add pieces. It can be very relaxing. Happy Birthday and enjoy the visit with your Mom.

I also used to do jigsaw puzzles with my mom when I was younger, I hadn’t done a puzzle in a while now, so it was fun to pick it up again.
Dial Meow for Murder had me interested.
It was a great read :).
Yay! Sounds like a lovely birthday week. I’ve never been much of a jigsaw puzzle fan, but I get the urge to do things like that. This is the same with knitting. I love knitting, but there are just some times when I get the URGE to knit. 🙂 Hopefully your spreadsheet helps with keeping track of review copies!

It was a fun birthday week :). Yeah it was weird how the urge to do a jigsaw puzzle suddenly hit me. I already finished one puzzle and started the next.
I hope the spreadsheet will help me be more organized with review copies 🙂
I’m glad you had a nice week with some good gifts and small celebrations 🙂 Congrats on winning the bookmakrs! And yay for spreadsheets 😀 Idk how anyone survives blogging without them lol.
It was a nice week. I hope the bookmarks arrive soon. So far the spreadsheet thing is handy as I can input more info there than on Goodreads, I just have to make sure to add the older books soon.
Happy Birthday a bit late! Sounds like you had a fun week. I love jigsaw puzzles, but since I have a cat I can’t do them. She would have the pieces scattered all over the house! I stick to Sudukos. Hope this week is as good as the last one was for you!

Thanks! I can imagine having a cat would make it almost impossible to do jigsaws :(.
