My Review
I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it. All opinions are my own.
Rite of Blood and Vows is the fifth book in this series and I am really enjoyed this series. I quickly started reading this one after receiving it and it was another great book in this series. Bea and Linc’s wedding is nearing closer and there are some political happenings and maneuverings as well. I am really excited to see where this is all going as I feel some important pieces were put in place in this book. Then there was the actual wedding that took place. And it all ended with a cliffhanger ending that makes me eager for the next one.
I liked seeing the build up to the wedding as well as the actual wedding. I like seeing Bea and Linc grow closer and seeing them figure out how to progress to some other steamy stuff without risking pregnancy. I like seeing them talk about things and how close they’ve grown. I really like reading about them as a couple and I look forward to see what happens next.
There are some interesting political intrigue scenes in this one as well. One of the characters from one of the side stories got mentioned and I am eager to see how she’ll play a role in Beatrice’s life going forward. And Lord Fallmartin has turned into an interesting character, like Beatrice I am not fully sure what his motivations and opinions are, but it’s clear he’s trying to use this wedding to his benefit. He also doesn’t seem as evil and distant as I had expected at first and there are some interesting scenes between him and Beatrice leading up to the wedding.
To summarize: This was another great book in this series. I really like reading about Bea and Linc and seeing how their relationship develops throughout the series, they grow even closer in this one as their wedding gets closer. There are some interesting scenes involving some political scheming and hints for the future. The ending is a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to the next book.
I’m glad it was good for you. I like the cover.
This is another series I am glad to see you are continuing to enjoy. Great review!
