My Review
After the ending of book 2 I immediately picked up book 3. Ghosts of the Resistance was such a great read and I am having so much fun reading this series. This book deals with the consequences of what happened in book 2 and soon Alix gets involved into even more trouble as more people get interested in her and getting on her side. Alix isn’t sure who to trust and slowly finds out more about what both sides have going on and want.
This book was so exciting, there are some interesting plot developments and this book just filled packed with twists and turns. I kept wondering whether she could trust certain people or not and even changing my opinion a few times. I loved seeing everything play out and the ending was quite exciting. The way this book ends makes me eager for book 4 and seeing what happens next.
I really liked seeing Alix and Gasper’s romance in this book, I liked how they embrace their unique relationship and grow even closer. I like how Gasper is there for Alix and has her back. There are some interesting development surrounding a lot of the side characters as well and I liked seeing it all play out.
Alix is such a great main character, I love her conviction to help the ghosts and how she sees them as real people and values their existence. And despite everything she gets involved in, her conviction to do right by the ghosts never wavers. I also appreciated how real she feels, she gets involved in some dangerous things and feels hardly prepared for them. She’s scared and overwhelmed and that made her feel like just a normal girl who gets caught up in it, but she’s certainly brave and rises to the challenge and fights for what she believes in.
To summarize: This was such an awesome read. This was a very strong installment and the plot is so engaging and kept me reading. There are interesting developments and I liked seeing everything play out, there are some well done twists and turns as well. The ending is quite exciting and I can’t wait to see how things play out in book 4. I liked seeing the romance between Gasper and Alix deepen in this one. There are interesting developments regarding most side characters as well. And I continue enjoying reading about Alix, she feels real and relatable and I liked her conviction to do right by the ghosts. This series continues to be so good and I hope to pick up book 4 soon.
