There were a bunch of review copies I didn’t get to in 2024, in today’s post I wanted to list some of the review books I didn’t get to yet and hope to read in 2025. I limited it to fiction ebooks only. I also share a bit about why I want to read eahc of the books I listed.

Review Books I Didn’t get to in 2024

Moon Dust in My by Hairnet by JR Creaden

A scifi romance with an autistic main character, I didn’t hesitate and got this one when I saw it on Netgalley.

The Sawmill Book Club by Carolyn Brown

The Sawmill Book Club

Sophia Rose always has great things to say about this author’s books and when I saw this one on Netgalley I knew it was time to finally read one of her novels. Let’s hope I can to this one in 2025 instead.

You’re the Problem It’s You by Emma R. Alban

You’re the Problem It's You

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was so excited for the second one. The ending of book 1 had a bit of a set up for this one and I am so looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Two Doors Down by Mary Hargreaves

Two Doors Down

Two characters figuring out what they want next in life as well as a cat that they share that gets into both their houses and they think it belongs to the other. It just sounded like a fun romance, so I got it from Netgalley.

Tea with Elephants by Robin Jones Gunn

Tea with Elephants

The cover for this one caught my eye as well as the setting with the two characters traveling in Africa. I haven’t read many books that take place in Africa so that sounded interesting.

Flipping Hearts and Homes by Chris Zett

Flipping Hearts and Homes

This one sounds so cute and fun. I like the sound of the house flipping theme and two people with different goals and personalities falling for each other. The blurb also mentions low angst which is something I was looking for.

Coharie Beach Cafe 3 by Casey Dawes

Coharie Beach Cafe 3

I read the first 2 books in the series and enjoyed them and then somehow never got around to book 3.

How to Steal a Galaxy by Beth Revis

How to Steal a Galaxy

I had a great time with the first book in this series and immediately got the second book as well as I was eager to see how the story continued.

A Five-Letter Word for Love by Amy James

A Five-Letter Word for Love

I got auto approved on Netgalley for this one and it sounded like such a fun concept for a romance book with the female main character assign one of her co-workers for help solving a wordle puzzle.

Which of these do you think sounds good?

  1. What an interesting list, Lola! I love the look of Tea With Elephants – what a wonderful cover:)). I’ve got an audio arc of Talonsisters, which I requested in December 2023, but though I started it, I couldn’t manage any more after my own sister’s sudden death. It somehow feels important to get to it in the coming year.

    • I agree the cover for Tea With Elephants is such a good, the cover is what caught my eye when I spotted it on Netgalley. Hopefully you can get into Talonsisters the next time you give it a try, that’s totally understandably you couldn’t manage to read it after your own sister’s death.

  2. Lisa Mandina

Most of these are new to me except the Beth Revis one. And they all sound good! I hope you get a chance to read some of them this year.

    • This aren’t even all of the ones I didn’t get to, got a bunch of non-fiction, more fiction and some graphic novels as well. That Coharie Beach series has 3 more books as well. I hope I can get to these in 2025 :).
