sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This week had a bit of everything, some nice and relaxing days, some gettign stuff done and some stressful stuff continuing. My boyfriend and I grabbed our bikes and explored an area close to our home, it was a nice trip and there was a lot of nature and it was very peaceful.

Besides that we’ve been working on some small things around the house and slowly more and more things are getting exactly how we want them to, which is nice. There were some important financial things to get done and I got those done this week. We’re still waiting to hear back from the financial aid, but we did get a note that it was taking a bit longer, which was good to get the update. At first we already heard it might take 8 weeks to hear back and those aren’t even over yet. I did a bit of formatting and some other work for one of my authors, which was good to get done and I am glad I can get some work done again more regularly now thigns are starting to calm down.

I’ve been still struggling with my blog, still getting error messages, pages not loading and sometimes the blog goes down. Haven’t really put much effort into fixing it, but I still have some things I want to try. Then ran into another issue that I think is fixed now, but again took some time to resolve. I just want to focus on blogging and writing reviews not dealing with all this website stuff.

What did I read this week?

Thaumaturgic TapasJustice is a Choice

I also finished Kinetic Effect by Carol Van Natta from Pets in Space 10 and finished non-fiction book Embodying Autism

This week I blogged about:

Review: Horus by Laura Greenwood
Review: Tentacles & Triathlons by Ashley Bennett
– Review: Hyperspeed by Lily James

  1. I had a busy week at my conference, but it was good! I’m hoping you get the things with your blog figured out. It was doing fine this past week for me, but today I did get that safety certificate message again. Oh well. I’m still reading, so don’t quit! I need to go back and read through my book so I can get it to you for formatting soon. I had hoped to maybe publish on November 11th, but I don’t know that I’ll be anywhere close enough to get it ready for you in time for you to be able to do that. Hope this is a good week for you!

Thanks for stopping by and still reading. The frustrations of dealing with all the blog definitely get some of the fun of blogging out of it, I am just taking a break from fixing it for a bit and then come back with a fresh mind and see if I can resolve it.

It depends a bit how quick I can get to the formatting and how many changes you want. Sometimes it can go really quick or take a bit longer depending on the book. If you already have any formatting things you know you want, let me know beforehand so I can add them in right away. I look forward to formatting your book for you 🙂

  2. It’s always so annoying when technical stuff gets in the way of what you want to get done!! Glad you are feeling more settled and making the place your own. It always takes time:). How lovely that you can hop on your bikes and find somewhere nice so close to home. Have a great week, Lola.

Exactly, I just want to focus on the blogging, not on the technical issues. It really takes a while to full settle, but it’s been nice finally getting to some of the smaller things and tweaking things to get them right. We’ve found multiple nice walking spots close by so far, which is nice.

  3. I hate that technical stuff for blog issues. I try not to make too many changes and plan them well. You won’t believe it – we’ve been having a few mosquitos in our house! And it hasn’t been a wet summer or autumn. I hope this week is a great one for you!

I try to do the same, I rarely change anything on the blog, but sometimes you have to update things. That’s annoying you’re dealing with mosquitos in your house despite it not havigng been a wet summer or autumn, we luckily haven’t had many mosquitos in the new house.

  4. I am not a techy type of person. I can manage a little with the help of Google and Youtube sometimes. But if it’s something I can’t fix, I will trash whatever I’m trying to fix and get something new. I have little patience for tech problems.

I have little patience with tech problems, but I definitely don’t want to trash my whole blog, so I have to struggle through it. Like you I use a lot of google to try and figure out what’s wrong.
