The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
I almost didn’t have a sunday post this week, but still decided to make a post Saturday evening as I had a bit of time finally. Another week of preparing to move. And another week with things going wrong. The painting of the new house is behind schedule, but hopefully still barely will get done on time before the move. The new kitchen which should’ve been installed this week didn’t get done as the company let me know they couldn’t make it because of sick people, wasting my mom’s time who would be there that day while they installed it. And now that needs to get done next week along with all the other things we still need to do next week. And I washed our curtains so they would be clean for the new house and they got out super wrinkled and they shrank. At least the packing has been going okay and I think I am on schedule with that and can finish it all in time, let’s just hope nothing else goes wrong next week.
I am tired, stressed and anxious all the time. I don’t have a lot of energy and every day I’ve been doing more than I can handle and it’s really getting to me. Hopefully I can relax a bit once we’ve moved, but I am sure the first few weeks after that will still be stressful with the unpacking, settling in the new house and then making sure out current house is all all cleaned up and ready, we got a whole list of things we need to make sure are done before we give them the keys.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Flooded Secrets by Claudie Arseneault
– Review: My Noisy Roommate by Kaho Ozaki
– Review: The Rebellious Fae’s Guide To Family Rivalries by Ariana Jade
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Muscles & Monsters by Ashley Bennett
– Review: I Cross-Dressed for the IRL Meetup 1 by Kurano
– Review: No Justice for Thieves by Laura Greenwood
Those are some fun sounding book titles! We had work done on the outside of the house. Luckily I was away at my office, but the kids said it was NOISY and weird to watch guys all around the house…
I don’t like noisy work, but glad to hear you were away at the office during the work being done.
So sorry that everything is so protracted and stressful. I know you have to keep to a timetable and a certain amount of planning needs to be done. But once you’re in and the essentials are unpacked – do give yourself permission to rest up and relax a bit before tackling the non-essentials. Sending hugsx
Thanks! I do hope I can relax a bit once the essentials are unpacked. I look forward to that.
Love Letters and Lemon Drops looks interesting.
I am sorry about the stress you are going through. I hope this next week is better. Hang in there.

It was such a cute read and it fit my reading mood perfectly.
I don’t think this week is better, but hopefully soon.
Yes, those are frustrating things, but hopefully this week will have fewer mishaps and you make it through this last push to get the big stuff done for the move. Glad you had some comfort reads to help out this week.
Have a good week, Lola!
So far this week just continues with the mishaps, fingers crossed somehow everything will get done before moving day. The comfort reads were nice.
Take some moments for yourself even in the rush to get everything done. I hope it goes very smoothly this week.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I try and take some moments to relax, but it’s just not enough. I need a lot of rest and I am so stressed that even when I am not actively packing and such I still cna’t fully relax.
Sorry to hear things are so stressful right now.
I hope things will calm down in a few weeks.
So sorry about how stressful it all is! I’m just hoping with you that it will be better once you finally get to move in. I feel like at my house just one thing after another is going wrong that I’m going to have to spend money (on credit at this point) and I was finally at a point I thought I could get what I already owed paid off and try to get ahead sadly. When it rains it pours!
