sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was a pretty decent week. It was actually a pretty normal week and went pretty smoothly for the most part. I also didn’t have as much shoulder pain this week and found some exercises that I am going to try for it. I got a lot of work done, as well as a bit of baking, cooking and reading ofcourse.

I finished up my assistant work for this month for my authors and got a good amount of hours still in this week. I also announced my blog posts for authors feature and hope to publish the first post next week. I drafted another blog posts for this as well. I also sent out the media kit for a tour starting next week and dealt with the usual emails as well and sign ups for tours as well.

I also took down the Christmas tree finally. With the weather getting warmer it felt like the right moment to finally take it down. I baked some chocolate chips cookies with both dark milk and white chocolate chips, they taste greta and we still have a few left.

What did I read this week?

The Amethyst Panda audioThe Playmaker

Both were great reads. The Amethyst Panda was a re-read for me, this time in audio and I really enjoyed being able to listen to it. The Playmaker was a great young adult contemporary romance book with a bit of a sports theme. I liked the characters and there are some great scenes with them together as well as a fun group of side characters.

This week I blogged about:

Review: Crossed by Death by A.C.F. Bookens
Review: Summoner of Storm by Jordan L. Hawk

  1. CHRISTMAS TREE!!! LOL I would love to keep my tree up all year and change it for the season but I need a bigger house for that. When I do get one, you know I will have a seasonal tree lol.

Glad you are keeping busy. I have been getting busier and I love the distraction but I also have been coming up with lots of ideas that I hope will make me even busier!

Have a great Week, Lola! happy Reading! xx

    • That is a cool idea to have a seasonal tree and I can so see you doing something like that. I hope you eventually have a bigger house where you can have a seasonal tree.

That’s great to hear you’re busy and coming up with lots of dies too. I hope it all works out well!

  2. I’m so glad that you have been keeping busy and the shoulder hasn’t been giving you too much pain. Perhaps the improvement in the weather is helping! Have a great week, Lola:))

    • I like keeping the tree around for a bit longer. That’s fun you still have the snowflakes, it’s still cold anyway ;).

    • I like to leave the Christmas tree up for a few months :). I could go for some warmer weather now, although not too warm.

  3. We just took down our tree 2 weeks ago, first we could manage it. But we didn’t put it up until Dec 24th. It feels like you had a good week making some progress on all fronts. Maybe nothing astounding but a routine week moving forward with everything is pretty terrific.

    • That makes sense you kept the tree around longer if you only put it up right before Christmas. I agree it’s nice having a routine week moving forward :).

    • That’s funny you know someone who never takes her tree down. I could totally see myself doing that, but after a few months I usually am happy to switch things up again.

    • I usually keep it up 2-3 months, it’s fun having it around a bit longer especially in the winter. I am happy my shoulder did better this week.

    • Yes I still had my tree up, it was nice having it around while it was still so dark in the evenings. It’s so festive, but it’s also nice to have it gone now. The cookies were great!
