The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Itβs a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This was a pretty decent week. Monday didn’t go smoothly and it was a bit of a busy week, but not too bad overall. I mostly been busy with work this week, I had some extra assistant work to do this week, so I got some extra hours done. And I finished up this month’s work for my authors. I also did a few things for Lola’s Blog Tours, I have two new tours I am working on and the media kit for the tour that starts next week I sent out.
Then on Thursday I suddenly got this cleaning urge and I’ve been clearing things out and cleaning things around the house. Some things we threw away, other things we moved to places where they aren’t as in the way. It’s nice to have the house look so clean.
Besides that I went for a few walks again. There are some sheep in walking distance and I walked there and fed them an apple, which was fun. I went out for lunch with my mom this week as well. The lunch was really good, I had this beet wrap that tasted great. And I won a 5$ Amazon gift card giveaway, yay! I also gamed a bit, listened a bit to my audiobook and read a bit.
What did I read this week?
Made For You was a sweet MM romance read and I really enjoyed it, it was even better than the first book. These two characters were so good together. Riptide is a YA novel and sort of prequel to the next Ryder Bay novel. It was fun to be introduced to Jace, but it got a bit dark in places and I didn’t like some of Jace’s behavior, but I did feel for him. The author captured the teenage angst and emotions really well.
What did I cook for dinner this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Something Borrowed, Something Mewed by Bethany Blake
– Review: Star Nomad by Lindsay Buroker
Two books i really enjoyed I review on the blog. A fun cozy mystery and an action packed sci-fi novel.
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Give up the Ghost by Jenn Burke
– Review: ‘Twas the Knife Before Christmas by Jacqueline Frost

Book Haul:
I bought three new books this week. tails From the Deep I bought on release day as I love the idea of a mermaid cozy mystery. Relic of Sorrows is the fourth book in the Fallen Empire series. I am really enjoying this series so far, so I decided to buy book 4 already. Mercy Strange I bought on release day as it was 99 cents and I like the sound of this series. I still have to read book 1, but I have enjoyed other books by this author, so I am fairly certain I will enjoy these.
Hahaha I should get cleaning urge Lola but honestly it rarely happens to me LOL It seems that youa ccomplished all that you were set to so it’s been a good week! Happy Sunday!
It happens rarely to me too, but it was nice to have the cleaning urge as the house looks so much better now.
I love those cleaning urges, lol. I get them rarely but when they come I always feel so accomplished. π I love a clean house, I just hate cleaning it! lol
Your week sounds great, I would love to go for a walk and encounter sheep. We don’t have anything like that around here. That really sounds so nice.
I hope this week is awesome for you Lola! Happy Reading! xx

Same here, I get those cleaning urges rarely, but it’s great when they hit and you suddenly have a much cleaner house.
I am quite happy we have some sheep close by as they are so fun to watch.
You had a very productive week and way to go on cleaning up and cleaning out. I always feel better after I tidy and reorganize things like that. Fun that you encounter sheep on your walk and had an opportunity to meet your mom for lunch and try a new sandwich wrap.
Hopefully your new books will all be good ones. I’ll be curious to get your thoughts on the mermaid cozy. That’s different.
Have a great week, Lola!

I like visiting the sheep. The lunch with my mom was great and I liked trying out the new wrap.
I am very curious about the mermaid cozy too, i hope I can get to it soon.

It was fun to feed the sheep, they all ran toward me once they realized I had food. I’ll have to bring them something again soon.
Boys of Summer looks great! Nice productive week! I hope you enjoy your books!

It’s a whole series of standalone books by different authors I think. I might check out some of the other books later too.
Well I’m doing that sort/throw/pack thing so cleaning is happening.
I read some library books which were ok. I listened to The Beyond by Chloe Neill which was the end of the series and quite good.
I hope you have a great week with things going smoothly!

That’s also a good moment to get some cleaning done.
That’s nice you listened to a good audiobook.
Congrats on that Amazon win! Gift cards are always great! Kudos on getting in some extra work last week too! Like you, most of my time last month was spent cleaning and throwing things out. I also had a yard sale to get rid of a few things. Hope your week is amazing and hugs….RO

Thanks! It was a good week for work. I really like that series, so I figured I would put it in my sidebar where hopefully some people see it :).
I have two of those rats on my desk that my mom made. She makes some great stuff.
It does feel great after you clean out a room or house and have more space and everything’s all nice and organized. Aww sheep! That’s awesome that you got to feed them π The beet wrap sounds good!

It does feel great when you cleaned part of the house or a room. It’s just a shame it doens’t stay clean and organized forever. It was awesome to feed the sheep, I have to take something along for them again soon. The beet wrap was really good.
