UntamedUntamed (Untamed #1)
by Victoria Green and Jinsey Reese

Blurb:
Rich, beautiful, and wild, Reagan McKinley has everything she needs…but nothing that she wants. That is, until she spends one hot night in the arms of sexy, unbridled Dare Wilde.

She’s a girl trapped in a rigid world she desperately wants to escape, and he’s an untamed artist with an attitude, hell-bent on freeing her—body, mind, and soul. But Reagan’s life is not her own, and Dare is not welcome in it. She can’t include him in her carefully-controlled, extremely public lifestyle…and yet she cannot give him up.

Will a shared passion for art—and, increasingly, each other—be enough to keep them together? Or will it be the thing that ultimately tears them apart?

My Review:
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I know Jinsey Reese from her writing as J Meyers and as soon as I heard she was trying something new writing hot novella’s with Victoria Green, I was intrigued. Untamed is the first novella in this serial and I really enjoyed it. There where some predictable things, but I really enjoyed this book. Like the blurb suggest this novella is hot with some great sex scenes, but the scenes that really got me where the scenes where you could feel the love between Ree and Dare.

Ree and Dare their relationship starts off a bit too fast for my taste and at first it seems like there’s only lust, but soon it becomes obvious there is more and I was hooked from that moment onwards. They are just so good together and good for each other and I still can’t believe Ree made that decision towards the end of the book.

Both Ree and Dare have difficult things in their past, at some is only hinted, but we also get to know some of them already. I liked how some things where revealed now already, but there was still some mystery left.

Ree and Dare are both great characters and I liked getting to know them better and see the different sides of them. Ree’s family was terrible, while on the other hand the glimpse we get from Dare’s family is much better with one exception. At times it seemed like Ree’s family went a bit too far, I couldn’t believe parents could do and say that to their own daughter. Sure I understand sometimes families aren’t all happy and have issues, but most of those family interactions just went too far.

To conclude: Untamed is a great start of this new series and I am really looking forward to see where the authors will take this series next! Dare and Ree are great characters and we do get to know quite well. Their relationship starts of a bit rushed, but after some tender scenes I really started to like them together. The side characters don’t get that much attention and Ree’s family do and say some really terrible things, I didn’t like them at all. I am looking forward to more Dare and Ree!
