Promise (Debt Collector #7)
by Susan Kaye Quinn

Blurb from Goodreads:
Promise- EPISODE 7 of the Debt Collector serial
What’s your life worth on the open market?
A debt collector can tell you precisely.

Lirium tries to keep his promise to Madam A to do transfers for her kids, but he is afraid Kolek will go after his mom.

Promise is approximately 15,000 words or 60 pages, and is the seventh of nine episodes in the first season of The Debt Collector serial. This dark and gritty future-noir is about a world where your life-worth is tabulated on the open market and going into debt risks a lot more than your credit rating. Contains mature content and themes. For young-adult-appropriate thrills, see Susan’s bestselling Mindjack series. For more about the Debt Collector serial, see DebtCollectorSeries.com

My review:
I have no idea why it took me so long to start this, but I am a bit glad I did, because I really want to read the next episode now and now I only have to wait a short while till the next episode is on Kobo.

This episode start of pretty dark and a bit depressing, after what happened at the end of the last episode. It took me a few pages to get into the story again, but I finished it in one sitting after that. It’s a great episode and I can’t wait to read what happens next and I am so anxious to know how this season will end and if it’s a good ending and there is still so much that can happen in the last 2 episodes.

Lirium really is an awesome character and it’s great how in the end he did manage to go on after what happened in the last episode. He really is a good guy and strong too. He shows a bit more of his soft side in this episode and I really hope there will be a happy ending for him, because he deserves that.

To conclude: I really enjoyed this episode and finished it in one sitting. And I really hope there will be a happy ending at the end of this season, because Lirium deserves that. Can’t wait for the next episode!
