Osuke’s excited about finally getting to live on his own, but on his first day in his new apartment, he finds himself kicked out onto the street! So, when a real estate agent appears out of nowhere offering him a beautiful, new place (with just a couple conditions), he jumps at the chance. But when he opens the door, a drop-dead gorgeous blond guy pops out! It turns out living with him is one of the conditions! His name is Nijio, and he tells Osuke that, not only are ghosts real, but Osuke himself is a magnet for all things supernatural…
My Review
I received a free copy through Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it. All opinions are my own.
One of my goals last year was to read more graphic novels, so I got this one through NetGalley. I even started it last year read half of it and then forgot I was reading it and only finished it this year, so I don’t remember as much from the first half. I enjoyed this one and especially reading about the Japanese spirits or yokai in this book. The story follows Osuke as he loses his job and house and ends up teeming up with a hot blond guy and together they work to negotiate or exorcise yokai.
There was a clear set up for the romance and they have some clear chemistry. I especially liked the sweeter scenes that are sprinkled throughout were you can really feel their connection. I was curious to see where things would go, but things don’t progress into a relationship yet in this book.
I liked reading about the spirits they deal with. Some of the chapters were more fun than other, but overall I had a good time reading this one. There were some yokai I was already familiar with as well as some I hadn’t heard of. Some of them are creepy, while others are more cute or fun to read about. The artwork looked good and I liked the art-style.
To summarize: I had a good time reading this one. There is some clear chemistry between the couple, with some sweet scenes a swell. It doesn’t turn into a relationship yet, but the potential is definitely there. I liked reading about the various spirits/ yokai they have to deal with, some are a bit creepy, while others are more fun to read about. I liked the art-style.
That sounds like a fun read.
It was 🙂
I’m never sure about the manga that are more romance than just stories of fighting demons, etc. They don’t get checked out at my school as much it seems. But this does sound like a fun story. Thanks for sharing!

This one did actually have a decent mix between the romance as well as the paranormal elements.
