Blurb:
Could Rera lose the only ally she has?

The truth is out about Rera’s past, and now she has to do everything she can to convince Ben that she’s trustworthy or face losing their budding relationship.

But other moving parts are starting to add pressure, including the Temple of Ma’at, who want results from Rera or for her to step back, and her best friend, who wants her to do more in London’s criminal underworld.

Torn between her loyalty to her friends, her feelings for Ben, and her desire to please her new bosses, Rera is struggling to know what to do.

Justice is a Choice is book four in Scales Of Justice, an urban fantasy series based on Egyptian mythology and set in the same world as The Apprentice Of Anubis.

If you love Egyptian mythology, alternative versions of the modern day, temple politics, slow-burn workplace romance, and a world where the gods are real, then the Scales Of Justice series is for you!

My Review

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

After reading the third book in this series I started book 4 right after it as I wanted to continue Rera’s story. This book feels like an important one with some changes and developments on both the romance and the plot. I really enjoyed reading about both of these developments and I am excited to see what will happen next after the events in this book.

I really enjoyed seeing Rera and Ben grow closer in this one. The started fake dating in the last book and ever since Rera has been even more aware of her feelings for Ben and that all develops even more in this book. I like reading about these two and the way they really see the other and support them. I like Ben’s well thought out gifts to Rera and most of all the way he really sees her and is there for her. These two make for such a great couple. I also liked how Rera learn more about Ben’s mission and wants to help him.

Plot wise this one felt like an important one too. I was really happy with a certain plot development and the talk between Rera and Meri toward the end was great. I am really curious what these development mean for the next books and am so excited to see what will happen next. Rera is slowly growing into her role as a Blessed Apprentice and I can’t wait to see more of that and learn more about the temple.

To summarize: This is such a great series so far and this book had some big and important developments both romance and plot wise. I really liked seeing these developments play out and really enjoyed this book. Rera and Ben are such a great couple and I like how they really see the other and are there for each other. I was very happy with a certain plot development in this book and am excited to see what this means for the characters and plot in future books. I am really enjoying this series and look forward to the next book.
