Ecstasy (Debt Collector #3)
by Susan Kaye Quinn

Blurb from Goodreads: Ecstasy- EPISODE 3 of the Debt Collector serial. Contains mature content and themes. For young-adult-appropriate thrills, see Susan’s bestselling Mindjack series.
What’s your life worth on the open market?
A debt collector can tell you precisely.

Lirium’s attempts to find Ophelia take him to the last place he wants to be.

Ecstasy is approximately 15,000 words or 60 pages, and is the third of nine episodes in the first season of The Debt Collector serial. This dark and gritty future-noir is about a world where your life-worth is tabulated on the open market and going into debt risks a lot more than your credit rating. Episode 4, Broken, releases 4/17/13. For more about the Debt Collector serial, see DebtCollectorSeries.com

My Review:
Ecstasy is the best book of the Debt Collector series so far. It was amazing and I can’t wait to the next episode! Ecstasy surprised me with all the twists and turns.

The story is fast paced and it surprised me more than a few times, we learn some new things I hadn’t expected. And then some of the events later on in this book really make me look forward to the next episode. There are quite some twists and turns I didn’t see coming.

The characters really grow in this book. With every episode I feel like we get to know more about Lirium. I really like his characters even though he rushes into some situation unprepared he really is a good person, even though he doens’t think so himself. We also meet a few new characters, who are all hiding their own secrets. And I want to know more about them all.

It’s so difficult to write reviews for every episode, but let me tell you this serial is so worth reading. I love the dark and gritty world and how Lirium is a good person, but with a bad job. And every episode is short enough that I can read it one sitting and then I am sad because the next episode isn’t releashed yet. And it’s great reading a series in episodes because every episode is short enough for a quick read and still managed to be a completed whole. Even though I really want the next episode, the ending is done really well.

To conclude: this serial is awesome. This is the best episode so far and I can’t wait to read what happens next. I really like the episode system and how each episode really is a completed whole, but still makes you want to read the next episode.

4-star
