Will the two of them give in to the tension building between them?

My Review

After reading Swipe Right for Kuk I was excited to Chelsea’s story as she works in the same store as the main character from Swipe Right for Kuk. So I picked up this book next. I really enjoyed this one. Chelsea’s work brings her into contact with an interesting customer named Baal who knows of her passion for photography and invites her to help him photograph a naked calendar. Chelsea accepts and the two grow closer while they work together.

Chelsea and Baal were so fun together. I liked reading about them working together on the photo shoot and how Baal encouraged her passion for photography and could help further her career. I liked how they both like photography and the way they could talk about it with each other. The scenes as they photographed the gods for the calendar were all fun to read. And liked seeing them grow closer. I thought they made for a cute couple. There is a bit of steam as well.

This was a cute and easy read and I quickly got through it. I’ve been enjoying the Jinx series and I am glad I went back to read more of these Speed Dating books now. I would’ve liked a bit more about the mythology surrounding Baal as I don’t know much about him, but this book was quite light on the details, the thing about him being able to change into a ram was interesting tough.

I liked how there are mentions of the previous main characters as well as the next two gods for the next two books in the series are introduced as well.

To summarize: I liked this book. Chelsea and Baal team up to photograph a calendar together and they grow closer while they do that. I liked the photography scenes and how Baal encouraged Chelsea’s passion for photography and how he shares her love for photography. I thought they made for a good couple and I liked seeing their romance develop. There are some fun appearances of character from previous books and mentions of the two gods that get their books next. It was a fun and easy read and I already started reading Horus now.

I can see how you could mistake those horns as buns, lol. Fun you read a different book with the same title. This is a fun series so far.
