My To-Be Read List is a meme hosted by Because Reading is Better Than Real Life where at the beginning of the month visitors can choose which book I’ll be reading this month. On the first saturday of a month the poll will be up, then on the second saturday of the month I’ll announce the book that won and on the last saturday of the month I’ll post my review of the book.

Okay below are are the 3 books on which you can vote this month. They are all books I got for review with some sort of fantasy or paranromal element.

Can a demon’s heart of ice be thawed?

Ash may have escaped death several times, but now things are finally looking up. The doppelganger is gone, she’s dating Leo, and the Venantium are staying away from her – for now. But a new threat rises from the Darkworld, and only the fortune-teller knows the true extent of the danger they’re in.

Lucifer, a sorcerer who did the impossible and cheated death through escaping to the Darkworld, is on the move. Now his second-in-command, Mephistopheles the demon, is loose in our world – and will do anything to win Ash over to his side.

The Venantium fear a repeat of the Demon Wars, the demonic invasion that wiped out the Blackstone family. But there’s more to those events than the records reveal. When Ash finds the lost diary of Melivia Blackstone, she starts to dig into the past to find the town’s forgotten history – leading to a revelation that shocks her to the core.

Leo seems to be the only person Ash can rely on, yet can she truly open up to him, knowing what she is? Blackstone’s dark history is rising to the surface, and it seems even memory can lie. The worst betrayal waits around the corner, and Ash has to decide whether to trust Leo with her darkest secret, even when it has the potential to destroy them both…

The Santa Barbara Channel holds a closely guarded secret…

She had more than just her mission…
Sy’s rotation on land as a dolphin shifter couldn’t have come at a better time. With her best friend missing and no answers forthcoming, it was time to take matters into her own hands. And with the resources at the Save Blue Water organization, finding her friend would be a whole lot easier. Except …something sinister is going on inside SBW, something deadly, and Sy finds herself at the center of danger.

The last thing he needed was bullets and bombs…
Noah Nelson spent every minute trying to forget the war while fighting his PTSD, but jumping in front of a bullet was second nature. It had nothing to do with the fact the target was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. Or that she was naked. But suddenly he’s caught up in her world, protecting her from unforeseen threats, and falling in love … but Sy’s got a secret that may rip them apart. Forever.

The Dragon of the Month ClubThe Dragon of the Month Club

Blurb:
The Dragon Of The Month Club is the exciting first installment in a new book series that tells the story of Ayana Fall and Tyler Travers, two best friends who stumble across an extraordinarily magical book and soon find themselves enrolled as members of a very special and exclusive club – The Dragon of the Month Club.

On the thirteenth of every month a new dragon conjuring spell is revealed and the two friends attempt to summon the latest Dragon of the Month. The varieties are almost endless: Air Dragons, Paper Dragons, Fog Dragons, Waterfall Dragons, Rock Dragons, Tree Dragons – not to mention special bonus dragons for all the major holidays, including a particularly prickly Holly Dragon for Christmas.

But one day when a conjuring spell somehow goes wrong Ayana and Tyler find themselves unexpectedly drawn into a fantastical world of adventure based on the various books scattered all across Tyler’s messy bedroom. Traveling from one book-inspired world to the next with nothing to rely on but their wits and a cast of strange and exotic dragons at their disposal they must try to somehow find their way home again.

Drawing inspiration from some of literature’s most memorable stories – from 19th century German folktales to the streets of Sherlock Holmes’s London – the adventures of Ayana and Tyler bring these classic stories to life in delightfully strange and unexpected ways. Filled with fascinating detail and non-stop action these books will spark the imaginations of readers of all ages to inspire a life-long love of reading and seeking out books that are just a little bit off the beaten track.

    • I have a hard time deciding which of these to read first, so I am glad I have you all to help me decide ;).
And that’s the reason why I accepted that book for review, dolphin shifters sound so original and the plot sounds great too. I already read the first two books in the Darkworld series, so I am pretty sure Demon Heart is going to be a good one too.

    • I said yes as soon as I got that review request just because it was about dolphin shifters, I think this was my firts time eharign about dolphin shifters too. Although coincidently I am reading a book right now with mermaids who can shift into dolphins.

The Dragon of the Month Club sounds like it will be a fun one! I like the sound of all the dragons and am curious to see how the story will play out.

    • I think it’s the first time I heard about dolphin shifters as well, so original. Although coincidently I am currently reading a mermaid book where some mermaids can shift into humans and others in animals like dolphins.

    • I have read most of Emma L Adams her books, but the other two are new to me authors too, although I have another book for review that I haven’t read yet by Iain Reading. Blood Tide sounds like it will be a good one!

    • I hope you’ll participate again in November, it’s such a fun meme! That’s great you got Blood Tide for review as well, it sounds really good and I like the idea of dolphin shifters.

    • I like your reasoning ;). And yes I did really enjoy the first two books in this series, so the thrid probably is going to be a good one too. This author her covers are always so stunning!
