Blurb:
The top-selling, beloved indie author of Ten Tiny Breaths returns with a new romance about a young woman who loses her memory—and the man who knows that the only way to protect her is to stay away.

Left for dead in the fields of rural Oregon, a young woman defies all odds and survives—but she awakens with no idea who she is, or what happened to her. Refusing to answer to “Jane Doe” for another day, the woman renames herself “Water” for the tiny, hidden marking on her body—the only clue to her past. Taken in by old Ginny Fitzgerald, a crotchety but kind lady living on a nearby horse farm, Water slowly begins building a new life. But as she attempts to piece together the fleeting slivers of her memory, more questions emerge: Who is the next-door neighbor, quietly toiling under the hood of his Barracuda? Why won’t Ginny let him step foot on her property? And why does Water feel she recognizes him?

Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Welles doesn’t know how long it will be before Water gets her memory back. For her sake, Jesse hopes the answer is never. He knows that she’ll stay so much safer—and happier—that way. And that’s why, as hard as it is, he needs to keep his distance. Because getting too close could flood her with realities better left buried.

The trouble is, water always seems to find its way to the surface.

Have you read this series? If yes do you enjoy it and what’s your favourite book in the series? If you haven’t read it, do you plan to? Why or why not?

    • I am already halfway though Burying Water and am really enjoying it so far! The romance and story is different from books I normally read and I like the slight suspense elements. I hope I can order the rest of the books in the series soon!

    • I am about halfway through and I am really enjoying it. There’s a bit of a suspense elements and the back and forth between now and then really works.

    • I might just be able to fit in the third book as well this month, lol. I really wanted to read all three of these.

I am almost halfway and really enjoying Burying Water so far! I like the subtle suspense element and how we get the point of view from both Jesse and Water and Then and Now. I hope to get my hands on the second book in the series soon as if all books are like this I am sure I’ll enjoy the rest of the series as well.

        • I was curious who would be the next main character as we didn’t meet many other characters of their age so far. I am not a fan of Jesse his roommate so far, but I imagine that might change once we get his point of view.

            • He just feels a bit like he’s trying too much to fit into that high end society and that club feels all wrong and icky to me or maybe that’s because of Jesse his observations there? I do like how normal he seems and how while he is the son of the garage owner he isn’t instantly good at it, but is given a fair chance. I am curious to learn more about him and his story and I can imagine I might like him more when we get his point of view.

                • I just ordered the rest of the books in the series, I couldn’t resist ;). I like the sound of how we see his weaker side here, but also see another side in the next book. And I realized the third book main character is Amber, I already like her so far, so glad she’ll have her own book!

                  • Haha! That will be fun with Amber’s book. Oh, and just in case you are interested, book four with another character from this one and book three (the tattoo artist girl) is up on Net Galley for review with Atria. I don’t know which countries its available to, but thought I’d say something in case you’re interested.

                    • I noticed it was up on netgalley and considered requesting it, but I am kinda weird with how I want to read all books by an author in the format I first read that author their books if possible. So KA Tucker is paperback format for me. I decided I could buy a present for myself and ordered the next 3 books, can’t wait till they arrive 🙂

    • I am about halfway through Burying Water and it’s really good so far. I am really tempted to buy the rest of the series right now so I can continue the series soon. I actually bought this book in paperback as it was cheaper than the e-copy, so I understand you waiting for a sale to buy book 2.

    • It’s really good so far! Slightly differnt than most romance books I’ve read so far and I like the slight suspense element. The setting is also very interesting with the small town setting surrounded by mountains and ranches.

    • I am about halfway through and so far I am really enjoying it so far! It has a bit of the same style as Lies we Live, in a good way, it has some of the same elements I enjoyed there. I remember you recommending Burying Water in a comment on my review of Lies we Live and I am now knowing why :).

    • I think the maximum for replies is set at 10 comments deep, so the comments stay readable. So that’s probably why the reply didn’t work, sorry for that!

I also have some authors I only read in e-format, often I even have ipad authors and Kobo authors. For some reason I from pretty strong memories when reading a book and it just feel better to read one author their books in the same format. I try to at least read series in the same format. I do make exceptions sometimes if necessary, but I prefer not to. It just feels off?

    • I also often remember when or where I read a book. Sometimes those memories can be pretty vivid and specific. So I think that’s why I remember the format so well too and I like it best if I can read all books by the author in the same format, but I try at least to read the a series in the same format.

    • I am really enjoying it so far! I think I am about 75% in now, so I am hoping to finish it this evening or tomorrow. Oh and I already ordered the next books in the series 😉

    • I probably will finish reading Burying Water this evening and I am really enjoying it. I already have the next books in the series ordered and I am looking forward to reading those as well.
