Every Saturday I interview a blogger. This week I interview Sonnie from the blog Para Days.
I know Sonnie for quite some time and actually only recently found out that she had a blog, so then I just had to interview her.

Hello Sonnie!
Welcome to Lola’s Reviews! I am so excited to have you on my blog today.

-Thanks Lolita! I’m glad to be here!

Why did you decide to start blogging?
-I had played around with the idea of starting my own book review blog back in November of 2011. I didn’t actually do so though until a month later while staying up late into the night with nothing else to do.

How did you come up with the name for your blog, Para Days?
-Well, my blog was first actually called “Lit Girl: Confessions of a Future Librarian”. Later on I decided that it just didn’t fit my blog ‘feel’ so much. So I did some updates and I realized that most of my reviews centered around the Paranormal, and since most of my days (at the time) were filled with books, I thought ParaDays suited my blog (and my personality) better. I’m sure as time goes on, I’ll end up changing it to something else. I’m just that indecisive!

How old is your blog now?
-1 year and two months.

What do you enjoy most about blogging?

-Talking about books to people who actually enjoy reading! I love gushing and raving about novels, and I’m so happy that I found a whole internet community that enjoys the same. I also really love the fact that I sometimes get to know authors on a more personally level then I would otherwise. I think blogging has been a really great way for me to keep up to date with reading, and more of a full time hobby then a part time one. I just love it!

What do you enjoy the least about blogging?
-Hmm, I think the least thing I enjoy about blogging is running into people who are just inconsiderate. I had one guy post a HUGE spoiler for a series I was reading and it just totally ruined the series for me. I was on book two, and he just gave away the ending for the third and final book. It upset me so much, I have yet to pick up the last book. I guess it’s a risk you take anytime you post a review, but it definitely made me more cautious about reading comments. I also get really irritated when people comment on a post with something like “AWESOME! Go check out mine now: linkhere”. It just kind of shows they obviously didn’t read what you took time out to write, but expect you to read their post. Kind of silly.

How did you decide on this design for your blog?
-I actually tried to center it around my rating system (Edgar Allan Poe[s]). I wanted something a little darker and not very girly. Then I found a photo I had taken back when I was trying my hand at photography and just ran with it as my blog button. I definitely think it fits my personality more.

Thanks Sonnie for the interview!

-Thanks for having me! Love your blog button by the way! So cute!
