The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
What happened this week?
This week had a lot of those little things not going well. We have a faucet for our dishwasher and one for our laundry machine, the one for the laundry machine has been leaking a little bit for a while, but not too bad, so we didn’t want to resolve it yet and just put some cloth around it. Now this week the faucet for the dishwasher suddenly stopped working after dumping some water on the floor. So now we have one leaking faucet among the two machines and have to keep switching them to make sure the machine we need now gets the working faucet, so that’s a hassle. I bought the parts so we can try and replace it next week, some searches on google have me hoping we can manage it ourselves.
On top of that we’ve been dealing with weird internet issues, like internet being really slow or pages not loading at all, but not all the time and not for all websites and it’s just weird and annoying. We got into contact with our internet provider and they’re doing some maintenance next week that will hopefully resolve it and if not they will have someone stop by to look into the issue.
And I’ve been trying to figure out if there’s a restaurant I can eat at with my mother and sibling later this month, but it’s been rough figuring out what I can eat as there are so many things I can’t eat. Not sure if that’s going to work out or maybe I’ll just bring my own food instead.
We did manage to get a nice walk in early in the week when it was nice weather, not too warm or windy. Then the rest of the week the temperatures went down even further and we got rain and wind as well, but at leats it has cooled down a bit. It took some time before it got cooler in our house as well, but it’s been nice having some cooler weather after the few warm weeks we had.
And then at the end of the week my period migraine hit and I felt pretty miserable again for a few days. The brain fog was very bad, but I managed to keep most of the pain pretty well under control with painkillers. Let’s hope next week is a better week and brings the resolution for some of those issues.
What did I read this week?
This week I blogged about:
– Review: Pint of No Return by Dana Mentink
– Review: The Corpse by the Creek by Iris March
– Review: Crystals and Conspiracies by Beth Dolgner
What to expect next week on the blog:
– Review: Berried at Sea by Peg Cochran
– Review: Wild About You by Kaitlyn Hill
– Review: Rite of Lies and Loyalty by Laura Greenwood

We had some perfect walking weather at the beginning of this week and of course I was not feeling good with vertigo. And now it is going to get so hot I won’t want to be outside, so I am afraid I won’t get to walking like I wanted to in order to start some activity again. I feel like little things keep going wrong in my house too. It feels neverending! Hope you are able to get your faucet stuff fixed on your own and that they fix the internet for you as well. Hope it’s a good week!

What a shame you struggled with vertigo when the weather was nice and now it’s too hot again. It’s so annoying with the things going wrong, it’s like every week there’s something new to deal with.
Oh man it must have been break down week for appliances because our refrigerator/freezer combo started not keeping cold so we had to order a part, too. Hopefully, a cafe or restaurant can be found that offers special dietary food on their menu so you can eat out, too. Oh nice that your weather finally cooled down.
Have a good week, Lola!
I hope you managed to fix your refrigerator/ freezer as it’s a pain to be without one. It has been hard finding a restaurant or cafe that offers food that fits all my current restrictions and the gluten free ones I found were all closed on the day we wanted to visit.
Sometimes it feels like it is always something. I’d just like to take a day off of everything. But mostly it’s just daily life having various things happening. I hope this week is better for you! I envy the cooler weather and any rain.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
It really felt that like recently, with something new popping up to deal with. A day off from everything sure sounds nice. I’ve been enjoying the cooler weather.
I just finished Books, Iced Coffee, & A Side of Dragons as well.
Also have been having some issues with the dishwasher and the washer. Hope yours resolves soon!
Have a great week!
I look forward to reading your thoughts about Books, Iced Coffee & A Side of Dragons. Sorry to hear about your dishwasher troubles.
Hopefully you can find something to eat at the restaurant. When appliances break down it’s such a pain in the butt. Sorry I’ve been MIA. I hurt my back pretty bad and have a hard time sitting at the laptop to type. It’s getting better now but it;s taking a long time.
I sure hope so. And dealign with broken appliances and such is such a hassle. Sorry to hear about your back, I hope you feel better soon.
