My Review
I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
I really like this series and was very excited to read this latest book. I like reading about Bea and her romance with Linc and seeing how they deal with all the court intrigue. There are lots of ongoing plot threads in this one, Bea’s relationship with her father, some plot lines surrounding her brother, Bea’s standing in court and the things they’re planning or have in motion. Lots of characters have secrets and plans going on and it’s all very fun to see it develop and play out and I had a great time reading this one.
This book has some new things Bea has to deal with, like her having more interactions with the queen, her finally finding out some things about the queen and the festival she has to handle together with the queen. And there are some events that happen due to the attack in the previous book. Then there is progression on all the ongoing plot lines. There are all these little hints and bits going on throughout the story and it’s very exciting seeing it all play out. The ending has something big happening that I think will have big consequences and I am curious to see what will happen next.
I really like reading about Bea as a main character and seeing her handle being at court and how she’s amassing her own power and standing. I like her romance with Linc and seeing the two together. Despite them being busy this book still has plenty of scenes with them together, which I like. They make for such a great couple and I like how they are for one another and support the other.
To summarize: This was another great installment in this series. I really enjoyed this book. There’s a lot of ongoing plot lines and some new threads that start up as well. I like seeing how Bea handles being at court and how she handles all the court intrigue and what’s going on. I enjoy seeing the plot lines progress and all the little hints turning into bigger events later on. I like Bea’s romance with Linc and seeing how they handle things as a couple and a team and are there for the other. This is a great series and I can’t wait for the next book to see how things progress.

I do love when an author can peel back the layers on their characters with each book so a new side of them is shown. Nice that the romance is advancing, too.
It really is a very well written series and it’s so nice to spend more time with the characters and see them develop and change throughout the series. The romance is so well done too.
That sounds really good. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
It’s such a great series so far.
