My Review
I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
The Truth About Justice is the fifth book in this series and in this book Rera moves to her new home in the temple of Ma’at. So this book deals with that and there’s a lot more about what life in the temple is like and Rera working more in her Blessed studies, which I liked reading about. I also liked seeing how she and her sister Meri deal with the change.
I really like this series and the change of home location in this book for Rera and Meri was a big change in this series and led to more focus on the temple aspect. It also addresses Rera’s struggles with providing for Meri and how she can finally do that now. Rera has to handle her new studies as well as living in the same apartment as her Blessed partner who can’t stand her and there are some scenes that deal with that. Rera knows she has to tell her bets friend finally about her blessing and it was interesting to see how that played out. I liked the focus of this one being more on the temple and things there. There is a certain twist toward the end and I am not sure yet how to feel about this one.
I really like this series and this was such a good book. I really liked seeing how Rera dealt with everything, from living in the temple now, to trying to work together with her Blessed partner and the struggles, her trying to tell her best friend about her blessing as well as her connections with her friends like Kat, Ben and Meri. It was just such a good read and I really like reading about Rera. I also really liked reading about her and Ben more, they are just so sweet together and I liked reading the scenes of them together and how they are there for eahc other. I liked seeing their romance deepen even more.
To summarize: This was another great read in this series. In this book Rera and her sister Meri start living at the temple and that brings a bunch of changes. There are some great scenes of them adapting to life there and everything it entails and I liked reading about Rera and Meri and how they’re doing with this change. I enjoy reading about Rera and everything she has to deal with and how she handles things. Her romance with Ben is super sweet and I really like reading about them and seeing how they’re there for one another. Their romance deepens even more in this one. There is a twist at the end, not sure what to think of it yet, but I am curious to see how that will pan out
