Don’t miss the conclusion to this spin-off series from Allie Therin’s acclaimed Magic in Manhattan universe!Love redeemed them, but the past isn’t done with them yet.
New York, 1925
For jaded Lord Fine—Wesley, to the friends he’s surprised he now has—falling into his lover Sebastian’s world of magic and intrigue has changed everything. But when a plot to destroy magic is linked to Wesley’s own aristocratic world, he’s determined to root it out—especially when it threatens newly vulnerable Sebastian.
Sebastian will never regret sacrificing his magic to save Wesley’s life, even if life without magic is challenging and sometimes dangerous. But now he faces the biggest danger yet: infiltrating Wesley’s viscount circles to find a villain, without magic to protect them, because Sebastian’s magic is gone forever…isn’t it?
Joined by old friends, Wesley and Sebastian follow the clues from New York’s speakeasies, across the ocean to England, and finally to a duke’s country estate. Always one step behind, they must race against time to stop those responsible and end the threat to the world, and magic, once and for all.
My Review
I received a free copy from the publisher through Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it.
I really liked the first 2 books in this series and I don’t know why it took me so long to read this one, but I am glad I finally did. This book wraps up the series really well and I really enjoyed it. In Viscounts & Villainy Sebastian and Wesley have to figure out who was behind the plot to end all magic that they stopped in the previous book. They realize there is another person behind it all and have to travel back to England to solve this one.
This series has one of the most well written grumpy-sunshine romances I’ve ever read. I just love reading about Sebastian and Wesley. I really like the grumpy/sunshine vibes. Wesley is so grumpy, but behind all the grump and the struggle to communicate he really is a nice person after all. There are some scenes that really show his love for Sebastian and it was wodnerful. Sebastian is such a ray of sunshine despite everything he has gone through and now he has to deal with his magic being gone. The way these two interact is just awesome. I love reading about these two, their banter is great and I really love the sweet and steamy moments when they lose themselves in the other.
The plot in this one very nicely wraps up this series as well as the Magic in Manhattan series. This one is a spin-off from that first series, Arthur and Rory as well as some other side characters from that firsts series all continue to play a role in this one too. These series are about some powerful magical artifacts and getting them out of the hands of people who use or want to use them for bad things. And in this book they go after the last two artifacts. All in all the plot got resolved in a satisfying manner and I was happy with how these series got wrapped up.
To summarize: This was another awesome read and I loved reading more about Sebastian and Wesley. This series has one of my favorite grumpy/sunshine romances and I absolutely love seeing these two interact. The grumpy/sunshine vibes are so well done and these two are just so sweet together, there’s plenty of great banter and them growing even closer. There are some really sweet scenes and I liked the way their romance got wrapped up. This book also serves as a great wrap for this series and the Magic and Manhattan series with this book tying up the last loose threads about the last two artifacts they hadn’t found yet. All in all I had a great time reading this series and this was a great ending to the series.

I’m glad you ended up liking this one.
It was a great series 🙂
