sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

What happened this week?

This was another busy week. I got my taxes done, which luckily went relatively smoothly, but it always takes some focus and attention to make sure I do that correctly. I also had a question about our financial aid that I had to call them about, luckily all was well and I got a lady who could answer my question and explain things. I also got some assistant and formatting work done this week.

I had a nice bike ride with my boyfriend early in the week to some nearby nature, it was a beautiful sunny day that turned misty which was quite nice to witness. I am grateful to be living so close to multiple nice nature spots nowadays.

Our mosquito netting for our bedroom window that we ordered arrived and we installed it, it was by the same company that we used for our last house’s windows and again the netting was of good quality and was easy to install the frame with the netting on our window. We didn’t see many mosquito here last summer, but we wanted to have some netting on there for this year to make sure no mosquitoes can come inside.

I was quite tired from getting all those things done and didn’t have the energy to do much later in the week. Then I got my period migraine as well and just felt quite bad for a few days. I am slowly recovering from that now.

I am still struggling with my gut issues and so far not sure if not eating lactose is helping yet, for now I plan to continue with it and see how it goes.

What did I read this week?

Manifesting and Mischief

This week I blogged about:

Review: The Big Chili by Julia Buckley
Review: Pastiche by Celia Lake
Review: Willing Prey by Allie Oleander
Review: Duty of the Winter Wolf by Ariana Jade

  1. Glad all the financial stuff is at least working for you. Money can be such a stress just by itself. I’ve got to find some time to now upload all the awesome work you did for me and get my book out in the world! Hoping to get it done this week. I wish I lived somewhere I could just walk out my door and take a walk, but there aren’t sidewalks on my street, and the main street that does right by me has huge hills, so not a fun walk. I love my mom’s new neighborhood though and told her I was going to come park and walk by myself until she could maybe get up to walking with me. Hope you have a good week!

I agree money can be so stressful, I am glad I got some of those things resolved this week and did my taxes. I am so excited for you that you’re almost ready to publish your book :). I can’t even imagine living somewhere without sidewalks, but the Netherlands is general has pretty walkable cities everywhere and our current town is even nicer to walk in than our previous one. I hope you can go for some walks in your mom’s neighborhood as that sound like a nicer place to walk

  2. It’s always so refreshing to get outside for a walk or a bike ride! I usually drive down to our local park to walk; since our area is so hilly, the park is the only way to get a leisurely stroll without a massive workout.

Money is always a tough subject, but I’m glad to hear your taxes are out of the way—I still need to get mine finished this week! It’s also a great idea to be prepared for the summer and those pesky mosquitoes. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

I am really glad this new town we live in is so nice for cycling and walking as I like getting out for a walk or bike ride. Neat you have a nice park close by for a walk without too many hills.

I am glad to have the taxes done, always a relief to have those done. I hope you can get yours finished this week. And it’s good to know the mosquitos can’t get inside anymore now and be prepared for the warmer weather already.
